Jigsaw is a local project based at The Lighthouse in central Woking, helping families in need, with a focus on pre-schoolers. It has been running since 2006, and has established itself as a highly regarded service by the frontline social and healthcare agencies.
The charity comes alongside families experiencing poverty, fleeing abusive situations, seeking refuge, and in crisis, by providing free good quality pre-owned clothing, equipment and toys for their pre-school children. These families are referred by social services, health visitors, women’s refuges, probation services, refugee services, etc. It is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and our stock is generously supplied by donations from the community passing on their pre-loved items.
Greenoak Community Focus recently donated £500 to contribute towards the co-ordination costs of the project, Director of the Lighthouse, Erik Jespersen said that they “really appreciate Greenoak’s support!”
