Helping York Road Project clients stay in touch

The York Road Project provide accommodation and support for anyone experiencing homelessness in Woking and the surrounding areas of Surrey.

They have been working particularly hard during the last month to ensure that no-one has to rough sleep during the Covid crisis. They have been working in partnership with Woking Borough Council and have recently relocated all services to the HG Wells Centre with accommodation for rough sleepers now provided in Woking Hotel and in purpose built ‘pods’ in HG Wells conference centre. This has doubled their bed capacity for those in need and are open 24 hours a day for the foreseeable future.

GCF have been assisting the York Road project by donating pay as you go mobile phones and credit to provide to their clients so they can keep in touch with the charity, health services and loved-ones.
